Apart from quite a few obnoxious tourists this cafe is really great. Excellent food in a unique and wonderful atmosphere accompanied by live music. Go here to write your post cards while listening to tunes by Frank Sinatra. Leave your phone turned off and enjoy both the setting and the food. You're guaranteed to have a good time. However, we did have a light lunch which was possibly the most expensive light lunch I have ever had. It was worth it to experience the Baroque splendour of the New York Cafe which has been a Budapest institution for over a hundred years. It was fun and I have never seen a cafe like it so was worth the visit. New York Cafe was built to be the most beautiful coffeehouse in the World. It has been restored to its splendour and is a must see if you are in Budapest.

This hotel is in an old building, so the outside of looks very vintage, as does the legendary New York Cafe which is off the lobby of the hotel. However, everything else is very modern. In my opinion, the Autograph Collection hotels are just a half-step below a Ritz-Carlton, and this one lives up to that reputation.
There is no question this is the true church. Joanna has written a good answer here. Back in the day, before I did the whole language thing, I worked in banking. I disagree with the doctrines and practices of the LDS church. Say goodbye to all that. The first vision is something she taught endlessly as a missionary - same with the Book of Mormon translation. Eventually it turned into a sour argument. I still struggle with the silence in contact or wanting to "rescue" him from the harried schedule.
